Rejected report - what next?

When certain fields are not filled-in (e.g., motivation, indicators), the report may be rejected. In the case of a manual rejection by the FIU, a message titled “Transmission integration failed” is sent through the Message Board, informing you that the report has been rejected and explaining the reasons.

If the report was submitted online, you simply need to locate it and correct it. There is no need to start encoding the rejected report from scratch.

In the “Submitted Reports” menu, then “Web Reports”, rejected reports can be identified by the status “Rejected”, which appears as a hyperlink.

When you click on this hyperlink, a new window opens showing the reason(s) for the rejection. Click the “Back” button (this releases the report so you can make modifications).

The status of the report changes to “Returned.”

Note: You have 180 days to perform this action. After that, the content of the report will be deleted.

A copy of the report is now available in the “Drafts” menu, under “Online Reports Not Submitted,” with the status “Returned – not submitted.”
You can correct it using the button with a pencil icon. Add the missing information and submit the report.

Note: You have 180 days to correct the returned report. After that, the content of the report will be deleted.

Example: If the reference of a rejected report is 4571‑0‑0, the reference of the copy of this report in the “Drafts” menu will be 4571‑0‑1.

If the submitted report was created as an XML file, you must submit a corrected XML file as if it were a new report—it will not be linked to the original report.

If the type of your report was incorrect, please refer to the article on this topic.

To avoid the rejection of a report, you can familiarize yourself with the applicable business rules.
