To make data entry easier: use an existing person
To ensure data quality, please provide all essential data.
Most fields in the person form do not require specific comments.
Here are a few clarifications:
- “First name” refers to the person’s FIRST given name.
- “Other given name(s)” includes all additional given names.
- Under “Last name”, enter the full family name as shown on identification documents (ID card / passport).
Country of residence
The country where the person normally resides.
National identification number (SSN)
The Luxembourg national identification number should only be entered if the person appears in the Luxembourg National Register of Natural Persons (RNPP) and the number is known.
PEP – Politically exposed person?
- A foreign PEP refers to persons who hold or have held prominent public functions in a foreign country (e.g. heads of state or government, senior politicians, senior public officials, high‑ranking judges or military officers, executives of state‑owned enterprises, senior political party officials).
- A domestic PEP refers to persons who hold or have held prominent public functions in the reporting entity’s own country, e.g. heads of state or government, senior politicians, senior public officials, high‑ranking judges or military officers, executives of state‑owned enterprises, senior political party officials.
- Persons who hold or have held important functions within or on behalf of an international organisation include senior management: directors, deputy directors, board members, and persons holding equivalent positions.
If a politically exposed person is involved in the report, you must:
- enter “1” in the PEP field
- indicate this in the indicators section
Note: The “alias” element of the XML is used for this purpose.

Any comments relating to a person may be added here. However, we recommend including all essential information in the motivation section of the report.

Where can the details for a person be provided?
In the “Transactions” section in the left panel, the details for a person (object type) can be provided in the sections: From - Source of funds and To - destination of funds.
In the “Suspicious Activity” section in the left panel, the details for a person can be provided under “Report Parties”:
In reports with AND without transactions
The details for a person can alos be provided under the Account object as “Related Person(s)”
The details for a person may be also provided under the Entity object type as "Related Person(s)".
