How to use an existing object
If you are using the web form, there is a function that allows you to reuse an object (person, account, entity) that has is already existing within the same report.
For example, if you enter several transactions, it is very likely that they involve the same objects. After you have entered a person, an account, or entity, these objects are saved for the duration of the current report. When you need to enter the same account in another transaction, you simply select the object type Account, then click the “Use an existing account” button. A window will open showing the existing accounts. By selecting the appropriate account from the list, the form will be automatically populated with the data you originally entered.
This function makes data entry easier and also reduces encoding errors.
You can see that an object is already used elsewhere in the report by the “link” symbol:
Modifying the data of a linked object updates the data (name, address, identification document, etc.) in all linked objects.
We kindly ask you to always use this function so that goAML can correctly recognise that it is the same object and avoid creating duplicate objects.
