Before the first registration
Please read this before creating an account!
Every registration for a goAML account requires the use of LuxTrust certificate.
Every personal account is inextricably linked to an entity account, either an existing entity which you specified by providing the org ID during registration or the new entity you are registering yourself. This cannot be changed afterwards.
As a result, the used LuxTrust certificate will also be linked to that entity and cannot be re-used for another registration.
For this reason, it’s crucial that you register for the correct entity. If there is any doubt, please contact us prior to completing your registration request.
Question: I need to register for multiple entities. Does that mean I need multiple LuxTrust certificates?
Answer: Yes. Every independent registration requires a separate LuxTrust certificate.
Question: Our company provides RC services for dozens of funds, this will become impossible to manage.
Answer: In the case of a single entity managing multiple underlying entities, you can make use of the system of delegations. A prime example would be an AIFM and the managed AIFs. Here, all AIFs could be managed via the main AIFM account, meaning every user would need only one LuxTrust certificate to access all managed AIFs. We suggest you contact us prior to setting up such a structure.
Question: I work for an AIFM but each employee has his/her own portfolio of funds and the above solution isn’t legally/contractually possible for us as it means every user has full access to AIFs that aren’t part of their portfolio.
Answer: Unfortunately, there is no optimal solution for this case. It’s not possible to granularly limit access to delegating entities. Users either have access to all of them or none. As such, we can exceptionally accept registration under your own name as a reporting entity to allow you to have your managed entities delegated to that account. Please contact us before registering.
