Reports with transactions – Adding a suspicious activity
Starting with goAML version 5.0, transaction‑based reports (STR/TFTR/RIRT) include an optional suspicious activity section. This means that you can now enter transactions and also enter objects (person, account, entity) independently of those transactions.
Note:It is not necessary to provide objects (natural person, legal person, account) in the Suspicious Activity section if these objects already appear in the transactions. If you choose to enter them anyway, please ensure that the information is identical, so that goAML recognizes that it is the same object (see How to use an existing object + Essential data for the different types of objects).
Examples
1. The account entered in the transaction is not held at your institution. In this case, you should not enter: an entity related to the account (t_entity) and not enter a person(s) related to the account (signatory). If the person and/or entity is your client AND is suspicious, but cannot be entered in the transaction, you must provide them under Suspicious Activity.
2. A person and/or entity is indirectly linked to a transaction. You enter the transaction first, and then in Suspicious Activity, you enter the person and/or entity:
3. A person or entity has several accounts. Only some of these accounts were used for transactions. The accounts not involved in any transactions may be provided under Suspicious Activity.
