goAML 5.0

Here is the page concerning the project to implement goAML 5.0 at FIU Luxembourg.

You will find here the changes to the XSD schema as well as links to presentations and other resources.

goAML version 5.0 was released in July 2021 by the UNODC, and version 5.0.3 has been installed in our Training environment since May 2022. The go‑live in production is scheduled for 2 September 2022.

The final schema, including all new restrictions, went into production on 3 March 2023 at 17:45.

The deployment of the schema with activation of the asserts and the changes to minOccurs, maxOccurs, etc., will take place on 3 March 2023.

Status on 08.12.2021

The installation of the environment in version 5.0 is complete. We are still performing a few tests before making it available.

You will find the environment as it was on 11 November 2021:

• If you registered after that date, you will need to go through the registration process again.
• Test reports submitted after that date will not be present in the refreshed environment.
• Your entity ID in the training environment remains the same as before.

Status on 17.12.2021

After identifying issues with the tested version 5.0.1, particularly in the schema, we decided to wait for version 5.0.2 before switching the Training environment to this version.

Indeed, version 5.0.2 will revert some of the changes introduced in XSD 5.0.1, and we prefer to avoid adding confusion to the already complex schema transition by going through a version that we know will only be temporary.

goAML version 5.0.2 will be available to us in January, and we will make it available to you as soon as our adaptations and tests are complete.

We have therefore updated the indicative timeline at the top of this page to reflect the delay.

Status on 21.01.2022

While we are still waiting to test goAML 5.0.2 ourselves with the final XSD schema, we can already provide more details on the restrictions we plan to implement.

Please find below the list of asserts that we have defined and that will be included in the XSD as soon as we can publish it for your development and testing. This list will allow you to become familiar with the restrictions and to perform an initial check against your current developments.

Status on 18.02.2022

Our tests of goAML Web 5.0.2 have been completed without any critical issues. It will be made available in the Training environment in the coming days—an alert will be sent to subscribers of the IT Newsletter on this site.

Here are already the updated assert definitions and the XSD schema that will apply in Training:

The XSD file is provided as a .txt for download. You may of course rename it to .xsd after downloading.

Status on 01.03.2022

The Training environment has been updated.
It now contains goAML Web 5.0.2 with data as of 11 November 2021.
This means that registration changes after that date, as well as test reports submitted afterward, are not present.

Status on 11.03.2022

Following a bug discovered in two asserts, a new version of the XSD has been made available in the Training environment. Lines 256 and 264 were modified because they rejected otherwise valid files.

We thank the attentive reporting entity who brought the issue to our attention.

Status on 02.05.2022

The production deployment schedule has been updated.

We plan to deploy goAML Web version 5.0.3 in June/July. It is currently being tested internally and will be made available in the Training environment as soon as we have validated it.

The 6‑month hybrid period will therefore end in January 2023. During this phase, reports respecting the current format will still be accepted alongside reports making use of the new features. These include, in particular, entity‑to‑entity relationships and transaction reports with an activity‑party.

Please also note that the current XSD version has not generated many comments and will likely be installed in its current form in production. Any final adjustments should be limited to minor “fine‑tuning” with very little impact on your developments.

Status on 05.08.2022

In the context of the upgrade to goAML 5.0 in September, a presentation of the changes of the Web interface will be held in English on 25th August at 10 AM.
