Message Board

The goAML Message Board is a secure communication channel between the reporting entity and the FIU.

When the FIU sends a message through the Message Board, the following email notification is sent to the reporting entity:

“Dear administrator, this is a notification to inform you that there is a new message for your agency posted on the goAML message board.”

This notification is sent to the email address specified in the reporting entity's account:

Best practice: Enter your compliance team’s distribution email in this field.

Printing a message:

To print a message you have received, click on the corresponding message. This will display the Print button:

If you click Print, a new window will open with the content of the selected message.

At the top left of the page, you can choose the printer icon to print the message on paper or save it as a PDF:

If you have difficulty opening an attachment, note the following:

• The icon that appears in the message list at the top of the screen (marked “1” in the illustration) only indicates that the message contains one or more attachments.
• To open or save an attachment, you must:
  1. Select the message in the list
  2. Click on the attachment link within the body of the message (marked “2” in the illustration)

When composing a message and adding attachments: you must first select the attachments then click Upload.

If you do not click Upload, and you do not see the attachments in the Uploaded Files section, they will not be sent.

Retention period

The content of messages in the messaging system is deleted after 180 days.

Example of a message whose content has been deleted:

If you encounter an issue with the mailbox size limit (500 MB), simply archive messages.

Example of a mailbox exceeding the limit:

In order to archive messages, please select the message(s ) by checking the corresponding box(es), then choose the archive folder from the dropdown list.

Click Move to Folder, which becomes active once the folder is selected.

After refreshing the page (F5), the mailbox size will be recalculated.
