General part of a transaction

The “Transactions” section of transaction‑based report types contains:

All three sections must be completed for a transaction to be valid.

Note: You may enter as many transactions as necessary.

Transaction Reference*transactionnumber

Each transaction must have a unique number. This number can be generated by the reporting entity’s IT system or by clicking the icon

 

If the reporting entity chooses to generate the number through its own system (XML reports), it must ensure that the number is unique. To avoid interference with other reporting entities, the chosen unique number should be preceded by the reporter’s SWIFT code.

Example: CRFLLULL-unique number, such as CRFLLULL‑123456

 

Internal Reference Numberinternal_reference_number

This number may be freely chosen by the reporting entity.

 

Transaction status*transmode_code

The form provides the following statuses:

  • Announced

The transaction has not yet been executed but has been announced.

  • Cancelled by the client

The transaction was executed, but the client requests its cancellation.
Example: the client realizes they were the victim of fraud.

  • Authorized

Applies to credit card transactions. A certain amount is blocked against the available credit limit, but the card is not debited.

Example: deposit for a car rental or hotel stay.

  • Executed

The transaction has been executed.

  • Refused

The transaction was refused by the reporting entity or a third party.

  • Pending

The transaction has not yet been executed due to a decision by the reporting entity or a third party.

 

Transaction Datetransaction_date

The date on which the transaction was executed.

Amount in EUR – amount_in_eur

The transaction amount must always be provided in Euro.

If another currency was used, you must also complete the Foreign currency field, located in both the From and To sections.

 

IP Address teller

For online transactions, you must specify the IP address and connection time related to the transaction.

 

Connection date and time authorized

For online transactions, you must specify the IP address and the connection timestamp. This must be entered in the following format (GMT): YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00

Example: 2016-05-30T09:30:10

 

Physical locationlocation

The place where the relevant transaction took place.

Example: ATM used to perform a fraudulent withdrawal.

 

Descriptiondescription

The ordering party’s communication and/or a description of the transaction.

 

Comments comments

You may add comments regarding the transaction in this field.
However, we recommend that all key information be included in the Reason for suspicion section of the report.

After completing all general transaction information, you must now input the details in the From (Source of funds) section.
