AMLA launches consultation on a new suspicious transaction reporting format across the EU
AMLA launches the public consultation on the draft Implementing Technical Standard (ITS) on the format for reporting suspicious and providing transactions records across the European Union
A new format for reporting suspicions and providing transaction records
The European Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) has launched a public consultation on draft ITS developed under Article 69(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 (AMLR).
The draft ITS establishes the format to be used for the reporting of suspicions and for the provision of transactions records to Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) across the European Union.
The draft ITS provides, in particular, for:
- suspicious transaction reporting templates tailored to different categories of obliged entities;
- templates for the provision of transaction records by credit institutions and financial institutions;
- a common approach designed to enhance the consistency and quality of information exchanged among Member States while taking into account sector-specific characteristics.
AMLA Public Hearing
As part of this consultation, AMLA will organise an online public hearing on:
📅 9 September 2026
🕙 10:00 – 12:00 (CEST)
This session will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to engage directly with AMLA regarding the proposed formats and their practical implementation. Participation is subject to prior registration. Each registered participant will receive an individual access link. As places are limited, early registration is encouraged.
Participation in AMLA's Public Consultation
The FIU encourages obliged entities from both the financial and non-financial sectors to review the draft ITS and submit their comments as part of the consultation process.
📅 Deadline for submission of feedback: 20 September 2026 at 23:59 (CEST)
